Whether or not you ever go to Brazil, I highly recommend that you add acai (pronounced ah-sah-ee) to your daily intake!  Acai is a superfood, one of the many amazing plants to come from Brazil’s fertile lands, and containing so many nutritional elements that you can almost live on its juice alone.

In Abadiania, where I take people to see John of God, many of the little cafes serve a variety of acai smoothies.  This high-energy berry was almost unknown in the U.S. when I first started going to Brazil in 1998.  Now I am seeing acai drinks served at U.S. gyms, sold by various companies in health food stores, and it is gaining increased recognition and popularity.

This is yet another benefit of global community and communications.  Blessings of health to all of you – Josie
